Josef Theil has more than 30 years of professional experience in the management and development of IT line organizations and in advising large, often listed companies with a focus on the utility, chemical, automotive and financial services industries, as well as the government and public sector. The in-depth industry and IT know-how he has acquired over the years has made him a valued sparring partner and advisor for managing directors and board members.

As a Senior Advisor on management level, he supports his clients in the definition or adaptation of data center and cloud strategies, in the design, assignment and support of large IT outsourcing or carve-out projects, in the planning of complex transformation engagements and in the identification and mitigation of operational risks. He consults his clients to achieve the desired cost and flexibility targets, to develop IT operating models and to optimize the required sourcing mix. Investment protection and improving competitiveness in terms of costs, agility and flexibility are fundamental principles of his engagement.

His ability to consider commercial and technological aspects enables him to mediate between IT and commercial departments to orchestrate mutually acceptable decisions for all parties. In addition, his methodological and technological knowledge is underpinned by his vast project experience in which he, as the overall responsible manager, has ensured successful delivery.

Josef Theil holds a degree in economics from Heidelberg University. He lives with his family in the Berlin metropolitan area.
