Ittoop Johannes Kurian has more than 30 years of professional experience in management and technology consulting. He gained this predominantly during his career with two of the world´s leading companies in consulting and technology services (Accenture and Cisco Systems), where he was a senior leader for almost two decades. Throughout his career, he has been advising and helping clients and organizations in Europa, North America and Asia Pacific on their transformation journeys. He has been at the spearhead of leading and transforming large globally distributed organizations with full responsibility for business outcomes. He was a senior partner with Accenture and a member of the global leadership team of Accenture Technology Services. He was in the global leadership team of Cisco Advanced Services, their technology consulting organisation.

Ittoop now advises and helps his clients in all aspects of mission critical, technology driven transformation and digitalization programs and initiatives, especially also along the entire spectrum of globalized services in the technology, applications and business processes field. His focus is on Transformation Management, Globalization Advisory, Sourcing & Procurement, Quality & Risk Management, Program & Project Portfolio Management, Productivity & Cost Improvement und Leadership Coaching. He works with senior clients who value his expertise and experience in helping them master their business challenges.

Ittoop is one of Europe´s leading experts in globalization and globally distributed service delivery (“offshoring”). He has deep, unbiased and first-hand experience in leading and doing business for companies in the DACH countries, Europe and North America, leveraging capabilities in India, Philippines, China, central and eastern Europe, North America and Latin America. He is a highly sought expert across the entire life cycle of mission critical technology programs and initiatives. He is a senior expert in risk assessment, risk management and quality assurance of complex deals, engagements and organizations in the information technology arena.

As a senior partner with Accenture and the Director of Delivery for their world class network of delivery centres in India, he had overall responsibility for all client service delivery - for clients across the world - with a team of up to 85,000 management and information technology professionals, a portfolio of 600+ client companies and 3000+ projects, many of these with 500 to 1500 professionals in the delivery centres. Before this, he had overall business responsibility of their Product business division in their Asia/Pacific delivery centres (India, Philippines, China), a business division comprising of all services for clients across the world in the automotive, industrial products, retail, consumer goods & services, life sciences, travel, transportation, freight & logistics, infrastructure and construction verticals. During this period, he successfully more than doubled the business of his division, grew his team from 9,000 to 20,000 professionals, while increasing customer satisfaction, quality and margin contribution and decreasing unit cost of delivery by more than 30%. He was based in Bangalore, India, for six years in the above leadership roles.

Ittoop Kurian was one of the most highly qualified partners for risk management and quality assurance of the largest and highest risk client engagements with Accenture. He has been deeply involved as leader and coach for many dozens of large Rfx processes across the world, mostly for offers envisioning a major part of services to be delivered from the delivery centres, usually competing against and sometimes leveraging the Big 10 of the multinational and India-centric information technology services companies. He has guided, mentored and developed the careers of many generations of high potentials on their way to becoming the successful senior executives and leaders they are today. He was recognized as one of the global Top 100 People Developers by Accenture CEO Bill Green for three consecutive years.

During the 20 years prior to his international leadership assignment to India, Ittoop Kurian was a partner in Accenture´s consulting practice in Germany and predominantly worked with clients in the travel & transportation, retail, automotive, telecom and financial services industries. He was responsible for the systems integration and technology business of the Products industry division in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Ittoop has a multicultural background with German and Indian heritage. He has a deep and unbiased understanding and experience of both the German and Indian business and social cultures, having lived in Europe as well as in India during every phase of his life – during his professional career as a business executive, for university and school education, and living in both countries while he was growing up. He has also worked in the USA and Czech Republic for extended periods of time. He is a native speaker in German (mother tongue), English and Malayalam, and has a working knowledge of Hindi and Spanish.

Ittoop Kurian holds a degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Applied Sciences in Furtwangen, and a degree in Mathematics, Physics and Statistics from the University of Kerala. He lives with his family in the Taunus region in the Frankfurt metropolitan area, and has a residence in Bangalore.
